George Brown —
Shaking Limbs and Shaken Minds
George Brown was a young WW1 soldier who lost his entire identity due to Shell Shock, a condition that was unknown and frowned upon by the Army. The publication reflects the fragmented and disjointed nature of Brown’s memory loss. The body text is hidden throughout the publication in french folds, flaps and transparent layers, reflecting the ‘lost’ nature of Brown’s memories. As the story of Brown progresses and he begins to regain his memory, the different page sizes become less erratic and the typography begins to realign.
